Our founder couldn’t click the headline.

As I’ve been catching up on World Cup coverage, I keep seeing this headline:

“World Cup facts and figures to get you sounding like an expert.”

I can’t bring myself to click on it.

I mean – I played soccer for more than 30 years, and I’m married to a South American (IYKYK).

But I am no expert on World Cup facts and figures, and I don’t want to pretend to be something I’m not.

My reaction aligns with the why behind our work at Contribute LLC LLC. We aim to level the playing field.

Too often, those with deep expertise struggle to communicate their ideas clearly, concisely, and compellingly.

Meanwhile, those who project confidence gain credibility, regardless of the depth of their expertise.

At Contribute, we believe everyone has something to contribute.

Sometimes that means sharing what you know.

Sometimes it means listening and learning from someone who knows more than you do.

Speaking of learning, I think I’ll click on that article even if I’m still not sold on the premise. How about you?

And have you ever seen confidence masquerading as expertise?
